to download the CDRLabel shareware program.
Once in that program, click on Image > Insert Image to insert the.jpg you
saved. Then, click on Image > Scale > Size to Label to make the .jpg fit
perfectly.
If you don't feel like downloading the program, you can also import the .jpg into a word processor (or image viewer) and use the application's image tool to size them. Standard sizes for CD covers are 12cm x 12cm for
front covers, and 15.1cm x 11.75cm for back covers.
I downloaded the picture but I got a tiny file that looks all blurry. WTF?
You downloaded the thumbnail instead of the full-sized image. If you left-click on the thumbnail, the full-sized picture will load. Right-click on that and save it.
Why do I only get half of the full-sized picture when I click on the thumbnail?
Your browser cache may be full. Empty that and try again.
Where can I buy tri-slim and
quad sized CD cases?
American Digital and XDR2
will be glad to hook you up.
Where can I find fonts like the ones on these CD covers?
There are free fonts all over the web. dafont.com, Acidfonts, and TypOasis are good places to start.
Where can I learn more about fractals and tie-dyeing?
Paula Burch's All About Hand-Dyeing site has loads of how-to information on making tie-dyes and batiks, plus links to suppliers and other artists.
Paul N. Lee's Fractal Pages has a comprehensive list of links to fractal-generating software. The Infinite Fractal Loop will take you to nearly every fractal artist's site on the web.
Where else can I find CD
covers?
The Grateful Dead CD Cover Annex links you to Grateful Dead CD cover sites, and allows you to search for CD covers by the date of the show.
http://jamaka.kamphorst.com/ and http://sonetlumiere.tripod.com/cd_bootleg_artwork_webpage.htm
will link you to sites with covers for almost any band you can think of.
